NEW! A way we can all share photos
Webmaster Dan says: I've created a new account on Picasa where we can all share photos. Here's how: ->Click this link to Picasa ->Enter this in the E-mail field: birchstreetsharing ->Enter this in the Password field: keepingintouch You'll see photo albums added so far, and you can add your own pictures by clicking the Upload button. Following the prompts, you can create a new album or add to an existing album. You can add captions to the photos, put comments on other people's photos, e-mail links to friends, etc. (I recommend setting the albums to "Unlisted" so they won't show up in web searches.) Once you've added pictures, let me know by sending an e-mail to birchstreetweb@gmail.com and I'll spread the word here on Birch Street Web. Any questions? Contact me. |
KEEPING IN TOUCH SINCE MARCH 2007
The Birch Street Web has now received over 4,400 visits (as of Dec. 21, 2009) since we added a counter on Nov. 23, 2008. An average day brings about 15 visits, including repeats by some very loyal readers. Our all time record so far was 45 visits on Nov. 8, the day after Genevieve and John's wedding. It's very gratifying to know that this site has become a way for members of our extended family to keep up with one another's happenings. Please help by sending any news, photos, stories, musings, etc. that you'd care to share, to birchstreetweb@gmail.com. SEARCHING THE BIRCH STREET WEB
The Search box at the top of this Birch Street Web home page does not work and there's no indication from Google when or if it will be fixed. If you'd like to search the Birch Street Web for entries that include certain names, words or phrases, you can switch over to our backup site at another blog service, Wordpress.
It's called "Birch Street Web II" and its address is birchstreettwo.wordpress.com. There you'll find a search box near the top right corner of the page that works just fine.
Some picture and videos might not display correctly there, and some photo slideshows are missing, but if you find an article there you could come back here to the main site and find it by date.
