Of course there's still time to join the team for the Oct. 25 walk in Manhattan's Riverside Park, and/or to make a donation. To find out more, go to their team page at the Memory Walk web site.
This is the second year that Shanna and her brother and parents have formed a team to participate in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk in New York's Riverside Park on Oct. 25. The Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $260 million for the cause.

Kudos to Shanna and the entire Murphy clan for taking on this important project on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association. My father an I suffered through my mother's long bout with this insidious illness in the 1970's. Medical treatment is somewhat better now, and thanks to efforts like this they will get even better.
